At the Marsh

]I am somehow drawn to this marsh area on Billings Street in Lowell, each time I drive by I get the urge to stop and take pictures. It is not the cleanest place, it smells terrible, and looks like it is being used as a dump site at times. In any event I am still drawn to it due to the abundance of ducks. Big ones, small ones just swimming around and having fun, they are a beauty to watch. Once I went by there was a lady sitting and feeding them, I am not sure how she tolerates the stench, but then again I am there with her too, snapping away. I wish there could be more done to clean up the area, where people have discarded unwanted items.

Early Spring Shots!

I took these in the early spring. I was fortunate to get a mother duck sitting on her eggs.  At some point I will  paint or draw  a few of these images. I am extremely inspired to head back into the studio, doing redecorating and have to get a new work station.

Snap!!

Whether through the lens of a camera, paint on canvas, drawn on  paper it is just a simple pleasure.

A Walk in the Park – South Common Park, Lowell MA.

One of the most annoying thing since diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, is the pain associated with holding such a simple thing as a paint brush or pencil. I once took these entire tasks for granted, now it is sheer determination and will power; let’s not forget heat and I get the task done.
Another thing that causes me excruciating pain at times is simply walking, there are times I am literally in tears, but I push on.
Today, I made up my mind I would go for an out and about with my camera, the pain was a bit much but, I was determined to get some fall pictures at South Common Park in Lowell. Here are some!
