Beach Picnic Class Reunion

The year 1981, the Raiders won the Superbowl,  the Boston Celtics were the NBA Champion and I graduated Kolbe Cathedral High school. Well…..I did not march in the ceremony due some chocolate incident. Needless to say it has been 31 years since I left Bridgeport CT without looking back. I passed by to NY, MD but never visited.
I had the great pleasure this past weekend to revisit, there was a Beach Picnic Class Reunion. It was  the beach, I could not pass that up, I have a love affair with the ocean, river or lake.
I had not seen any of my class mates over 30 yrs, and  I was excited and nervous. I was the quiet one, always in the back and never got involved in much. I was a transfer student from Jamaica in 1979 and it took while for me to get adjusted. By the time I was getting up to speed it was graduation.

Ogunquit, ME

I somehow want to giggle each time I say or hear that name,(O-Gun-Quit)….I often wonder how cities and towns get their names. I have quite a few visuals dancing around my head on this one. In any event Ogunquit is a beautiful place to visit. Return trip in the works!

A Walk in the Park – South Common Park, Lowell MA.

One of the most annoying thing since diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, is the pain associated with holding such a simple thing as a paint brush or pencil. I once took these entire tasks for granted, now it is sheer determination and will power; let’s not forget heat and I get the task done.
Another thing that causes me excruciating pain at times is simply walking, there are times I am literally in tears, but I push on.
Today, I made up my mind I would go for an out and about with my camera, the pain was a bit much but, I was determined to get some fall pictures at South Common Park in Lowell. Here are some!

A Retreat in Maine

I work part-time as a Resident Service Coordinator for the Caleb Group/Caleb Foundation. Twice each year (spring  & fall) we leave for a two day retreat. This Fall we were in Maine, for the grand opening of a newly acquired property, then stayed at the Beachmere in Ogunquit, Maine. A beautiful place to say the least, I will be returning with family and friends.
