Flowers are simply irresistable! I never get tired of taking snapshot after snapshots. I added the full drawing of the header just for show.

A Walk in the Park – South Common Park, Lowell MA.
One of the most annoying thing since diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, is the pain associated with holding such a simple thing as a paint brush or pencil. I once took these entire tasks for granted, now it is sheer determination and will power; let’s not forget heat and I get the task done.
Another thing that causes me excruciating pain at times is simply walking, there are times I am literally in tears, but I push on.
Today, I made up my mind I would go for an out and about with my camera, the pain was a bit much but, I was determined to get some fall pictures at South Common Park in Lowell. Here are some!

A Retreat in Maine
I work part-time as a Resident Service Coordinator for the Caleb Group/Caleb Foundation. Twice each year (spring & fall) we leave for a two day retreat. This Fall we were in Maine, for the grand opening of a newly acquired property, then stayed at the Beachmere in Ogunquit, Maine. A beautiful place to say the least, I will be returning with family and friends.

Once in a While – A Bit of Poetry
Along with drawing, painting, taking photographs, I write, and ever so often I write poems. Similar to my art I am influenced and inspired by my surroundings, people, and just everyday life. Once in a while I show my poems, here is one of those times. This one was written over ten(10) years ago, it got published in the literary arts magazine at college.
Summer
She leaves in a blaze of glory
Splashing her bright colors
On the oaks and maples,
Heralding the fall.
Her heat simmers to a cool wisp
Touching my face the with gentle reminder that
The cold winter draws nigh.
She lies down quietly
No, she is not dead.
Winter’s gray, ghostly blanket covers her, she is unseen.
She takes with her the frolic and the laughter of the long days.
Before long, she stirs again,
Bringing with her chirping birds,
Flashy tulips and new life,
Springing from every corner
Paving the way for her dramatic entrance.
